My best summer memories revolve around Birch Bay Ranch. When I first came to BBR I thought it would be like every other camp but that for sure wasn't true . It has so much to offer! I learned so much about God , riding horses and had so many adventures. I was that kid that sent in my forms for summer camp in winter because I was so excited ! Camp was such a different atmosphere for me to be surrounded by. Growing up in a non-Christian home BBR really opened my eyes to see and discover Christ. It's crazy how much five days of camp can change you. I left my first week of camp a Christian and with a giant smile. After my first week as a camper I was hooked. I came to camp for various years after my first and have looked forward to going out ever since . I came out this summer and volunteered six weeks and I absolutely loved it. Being surrounded by so many people with same beliefs was great. Watching the kids grow in their faith while out at camp is incredible and rewarding. The campers love the ropes course, horses , archery range and all the fun and ridiculous adventures we have. Its pretty cool how intrigued the kids are when it comes to learning about Christ, there like sponges soaking in all the stories. One of the many things I love about BBR is the staff are always there for the campers to answer their questions and they are so loving, nurturing and kind. As a camper and staff you feel so loved by the people surrounding you. I have made so many amazing memories and friends there . This camp isn't just a summer camp to me, it is a place where I met friends , made memories and became a Christian . This camp has changed so many people's lives , and has become a safe place for many people where they can be loved for who they are. Without the ranch I wouldn't be the person I am today, and I wouldn't have met the amazing people I did out there . I love this camp and I hope it has many more years to come !
