Birch Bay Ranch is in trouble. The church that governs Birch Bay Ranch has decided that the ministry of BBR is not in line with the church's vision. They are trying to do what is right and would like to see the ranch move forward under different conditions. Some options are to lease the land, sell the ranch, or unfortunately, to close it.
The land was donated to the church in the 1960’s by the McCaughey family to be used as a Christian summer camp for kids. In the mid 1980’s the land was transferred to the Birch Bay Ranch Association. Since the Board of Directors for the BBR Association is the same board for the church they are able to transfer the land back into the church’s name and sell it. We believe that the BEST OPTION for this ministry is for the church to allow the Birch Bay Ranch Association to run the camp separate from the church and allow it to keep the asset, the land and buildings that were built on love and donations.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! The Board of Directors are a group of good people who want to do what’s best for their church and for the Ranch, but they might not know the extent of how many lives are changed for Jesus here and how that impact has spread over several generations. This ministry is ALIVE. It has a heart and that heart is beating.
