It is safe to say that Birch Bay Ranch has played an important part of shaping my Christian life.
It was the first and only Christian camp I ever attended, I was a camper for three years. I ended up liking it so much that I became a staff member.Even though I was a Christian before coming out to Birch Bay Ranch it still surprised me how much closer I grew to God and how much more I learned about him.
I only worked at Birch Bay for two years (15 weeks, which is pretty good considering my current age of sixteen). The impact of the ranch on the campers, and the staff as well, is massive. In one week you could see a camper's life change right in front of your very eyes. I am glad that I got to be a part of it. It's an amazing feeling knowing that you're out helping kids learn about Christ and see campers come out year after year, or even week after week, because they can't get enough.
Birch Bay Ranch has grown to be like a second home to me, I almost know the place like the back of my hand. I come home and try to recruit my brother into becoming a staff member, which always ends in him saying that 'someone needs to help around the farm' because I'm always at Birch Bay Ranch working.
The staff add to the overall experience, always there if you need to talk, ready to answer any question to the best of their abilities. They help create a positive Christian vibe that is contagious. The entire ranch feels like a safe haven, where you can go to sing, dance, laugh your head off, do crazy things, and praise The Lord all at the same time!
Birch Bay Ranch
Where the food is amazing
The staff are family
God is seen everywhere
And the experience is surreal.
Thank you for taking time to read my ramblings.
